Nature is an artist and creates in the earth, water, and air.  If we learn from nature, we can be artists too.  We can copy the colors used by nature.  We can see nature's collages and copy them with paper.  We can sculpt like nature.  We get inspiration from fossils in the ground and rainbows in the air.  What will you make by observing nature?

Lavallee  inspires little artists to try some different art projects, and to look to nature to be their teacher.  I enjoyed the poetic text, simple project ideas, and artistic, vivid illustrations.
