Plop is a baby Barn Owl that is afraid of the dark. His parents try to sleep during the day so that they can hunt at night. To keep Plop busy during the day, they send Plop out to talk to different animals and people. They share with Plop why they like the night.

Tomlinson writes a sweet book about a baby owl and his parents. It shows how little kids can overcome their fears. I liked all of the positive things that can happen during the night. It shows how overcoming your fears can be hard, but worth it.
