Mouse, Squirrel, and Hare are preparing for Christmas. When Mouse goes outside she discovers a sick Swallow who is unable to fly. The three friends bring Swallow inside. They place her by the fire to warm up. They share with her what they have and nurse her back to health.
A sweet story about being kind to a neighbor in need. Each of the friends found ways to make sacrifices for Swallow. The illustrations are very sweet.
