"My Lost Freedom" follows activist George Takei through his experience of being with his family in camps during World War II. This book is a great reminder of injustice and striving for better history in the future.
Takei writes a great demonstration of talking about justice and inequality in a way that kids can understand. The chronological format of the book makes it easier to follow along with the events, giving perspective to Takei's experience and the war as a whole. I recommend for kids and adults alike.
