Jeanie is a quiet, focused, responsible second grade student at Rivertown Elementary. She is well on her way to receiving good grades and awards until one day, a new girl moves to town and is in Jeanie's school class. Willow Davis makes things a little bit hectic, but also very magical for Jeanie.
This is a fun book for emergent readers who are ready for short chapters and an engaging story. There isn't much in the way to attract a young male audience, but young girls are likely to enjoy reading about the experiences of Jeanie and Willow's unique friendship and school adventures.
