The students at Miss Bunsen's School for Brilliant Girls are on an unplanned field trip to answer an anonymous letter promising a large amount of money. What they actually get is a large number of problems, and they may lose their school because of it.
Although part of a series, this book is easily understandable and quite enjoyable even on its own. There is enough description and certainly enough drama to captivate a reader right from the get-go. There are many messages about girl-power, friendship, respect, and the importance of feelings written into the story, all served with a touch of subtle humor and playfulness. It is whimsical yet wonderfully relatable.
