Little Fallon, a young girl in Haiti, is invited to go with her mother to market. It is an honor to be invited, and even more of an honor when Fallon's mother allows her to wear the Panye, a basket on her head, to carry the groceries home.
An excellent look at an important aspect of another culture, this book has beautiful illustrations and a lovely story about growing up and following in the footsteps of family and friends in a community.
