AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
A little girl is worried because her grandma starts calling her by the wrong name, putting her teacups in odd places, and other out of character things. When she sees her grandma’s photo album, she has an idea for a way she might be able to help.
The “I can fix Grandma” aspect of this book feels a little forced. If you really want a good book to start a conversation with a child about an aging grandparent, try The Remember Balloons by Jessie Oliveros, The Tide by Clare Helen Welsh, or What a Beautiful Morning by Arthur A. Levine.
