When Cornelia moves to a new house she discovers that she has a young boy as a neighbor who lives in an immense tree house full of his own inventions. Cornelia asks about these and is treated to the jungle machine which grows an entire jungle for them to explore.
This tall format book is an imaginary retreat for young readers. The story is a bit too brief and abrupt, ending suddenly after an epic adventure, but the illustrations are magical and will have young readers spinning with their own ideas and imaginings.
