Elliott is an inventor - he spends most days thinking up new fun inventions. When he is punished with an early bedtime for turning the clock back, Elliot invents a machine that stops the earth from spinning. However, soon Elliot realizes that one very very long day isn't a great idea after all.
Chuck Richards illustrations are fantastic! Realistic and whimsical, they add so much to the story - Elliot's inventions are clever and ridiculous, the children are adorable and the situations are so fun. I wish Elliot had been one of my friends! A great bedtime story, I was certainly tired after all that playing.
