Kevin, an elementary aged kid, boards a different plan than his family and ends up in New York while his family is in Florida. Kevin takes advantage of the situation and stays in a fancy hotel and orders room service. When he runs into burglars at the toy story he has a plan to trap them.
This book parallels the plot of the movie closely so there are no major plot surprises. It was hard to separate out the movie and I’m not sure the book has as much value given the movie’s existence, but it was still a fun book to read with charming illustrations.
