You Are Home With Me is an endearing picture book that discovers the many ways that
animal parents create homes for their young.
“If you were a moose, we would find a new place to sleep every night,
stomping down the ground in a circle to form a bed.” There is a side note on
each page that gives some interesting insight to each animal featured. “Flying squirrels don’t actually fly, but
glide from tree to tree with their arms and legs outstretched.” Parents and children
alike will love reading and exploring this informational picture book.
The text in You Are Home
With Me is simple yet informative.
The illustrations are very detailed.
You Are Home With Me can be
used in a unit on families and on animal habitats. Our favorite part of the book was reading new
information about each animal.
