When the young couple is expecting a new family member, they buy a rocking chair which is an important part of their lives – until it isn’t.  When the boy is expecting his own new family member, however, the rocking chair is cherished again.

The Dillons wrote many excellent books together and this was their final collaboration.  Unfortunately it really is a self-indulgence that will be most appreciated by nostalgic parents yearning for their children to be young again.  This would best be a gift to an expectant mother, not to a child.
