Wanda Witch is a snitch, plain and simple. She likes the attention that she gets from the Head Witch for tattling on the other witches. The witches do not like Wanda’s snitching. They tell her that there is a difference between tattling and telling. Tattling is getting someone into trouble. Telling is if someone is hurt or needs help. Wanda does see herself as a snitch. The witches decide to cast a spell on Wanda. She will not be able to speak if she tattles. Wanda wants to tattle, but nothing comes out until she sees a situation that could be dangerous to another witch.
In the back of the book is a note to grown-up witches about helping children with the difference of snitching versus telling. Halloween and witches may be the spark to get a discussion going.
