Ella McKeen is the best kickball player on the playground. No one can get her out because, well, no one ever has - until the new girl, Rita, catches “the bomb”. Ella does not react well, in fact, she throws a loud (and embarrassing) tantrum right there in front of everyone.
Controlling emotions is a hard skill for many children. Beth Mills has given us a great story showing that “losing it” can happen to anybody. Her illustrations are adorable and the tantrum is perfect. While I don’t want one of my kids to fall apart in front of their friends, this book will come in handy if they do.
