This wordless picture book features monsters playing at the beach. A particular monster takes a stick and draws a line in the sand. Two monster friends stare at the line and the wheels start turning. Conflict ensues as the monsters want their opponent to stay on their side of the line. A bee lands on one of the monster's toes. Mayhem creates chaos and the line no longer exists. The monsters resolve their conflict and laugh at how silly they have behaved.
The illustrations are very fun. They have used a lot of pattern paper to create collages of the monsters. The monsters are unique and cute. There were a few moments when I was struggling to follow the story. I liked that it was wordless it made you study the illustrations much more to figure out what was going to happen next. Every monster is a different color and a different size and shape which makes it enjoyable.
