Annie has a
little race car. One evening she takes off and drives on all kinds of roads,
straight and flat, mountain roads, desert roads, and city traffic –before finally
racing home. Filled with large harmonious illustrations.
I am all for a
book about a girl race car driver, having done autocross myself. The
illustrations are lovely, especially the forest and desert scenes. But there
isn’t really much of a story, just Annie driving around. I wish there was a
tiny bit of plot.
