This novelization of the Tim Burton film, "Dumbo," is a nice rendering of the story told on film. Dumbo is separated from his mother, becomes famous for being able to fly, and eventually his circus family helps him escape along with his mother. The author adds some nice background story for other characters in the circus, and this only gives a greater depth to an already well known tale.
I really liked this novelization of the Dumbo film. It doesn't feel like a completely straightforward retelling--the addition of background story for other characters is a really nice touch. Young fans of the film will probably very much enjoy this story, though many will feel it unnecessary to read if they have seen the film.
