A Bottle of Happiness by Pippa Goodhart and Ehsan Abdollahi - OPTIONAL

BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) - OPTIONAL

AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW

A boy from a poor town heads over the mountain and sees the riches on the other side.  In order to acquire some of the wonders, he tries to bottle happiness - something the rich side doesn’t seem to have

Abdollahi’s delightful illustrations are the absolute best part here.  The story comes close to making no sense.  It could be a launchboard to talk about how we assign value to things, perhaps.
