Jeannie Baker is a collage artist. In this step by step look into assembling all sorts of different collages, she looks at textures, materials, shapes, and where to find cool stuff. From nature to the kitchen to the sea shore, items are identified, and tips are given for preserving what you find. There are even examples of completed collages.
I can't wait to show my art teacher. Well organized with so many ideas. I love that she's showed what tools are needed, how to make it look nice, and includes when parent supervision is essential (like when using an oven or a scalpel). A great reference for the art classroom in either elementary or middle school.
