Sola is a little girl who is much
disliked on her island. When a monster arrived years ago it destroyed almost
everything and it seemed to take an interest in her. Now everyone thinks she's
cursed. She decides to go and look for the monster and find out more. She
steals a boat and takes off, along the way she lands on a variety of islands
and has many adventures.
I found the island book depressing.
Although Solo makes friends along the way, the story is really linear and
doesn't feel like a fully fleshed out world. The ending is a bit down as well.
The artwork is fairly humdrum as well. One of the least favorite I have
reviewed from this publisher, I wouldn't add this to my school library.
