Katherina Johnson always loved numbers.  Though she starts her career as a teacher, she finds her stride when she because a computer at Langley Aeronautics. Through Katherine and other women at Langley, NASA was able to launch into space.

Cline-Rancome writes a perfect example of a middle elementary biography.  Excellent addition to a growing STEM collection and to add more women’s history.  Quite lengthy, though, so more for a student to read alone, rather than a read aloud.
