This book features
a re-telling of the “This Mary Had a Little Lamb” rhyme. One Each page a
different colored animal follows Mary, an orange tiger, a pink hippo and more.
Each animal is making a noise or singing. Mary isn’t going to school though and
has a surprise for all of them.
This book wasn’t
nearly as fun as the Little Piggies book from the same series. The artwork is
still great, with plenty of cover appeal, but the rhyming pattern just doesn’t work out
and its not as funny. The lesson of the colors isn’t as obvious as in some
books, and might be lost completely.
