This book features double page
spreads that teaches 1-10 by showing off items and the names of the items that
correlate to the number. For example on the page for One, there is one fish,
one squirrel, one raspberry, and so on. The artwork is bright and simple.
I don’t care for this book at
all, it looks cheaply put together, like computer generated art. Additionally
it asks questions like How many sea creatures do you see? Spot the things that
can fly…well the answer is always the number that is being highlighted. That
would get old really fast once a young reader caught on. Overall just garish
and busy, not in a fun iSpy kind of way either.
