This book covers a broad spectrum of
what makes summer super. It features information about nature: season,
daylight, temperatures, what food grows, and how animals deal with the heat. It
goes over the elements of summer for people, like wearing sunscreen, fun activities
to do, the tastes and shapes and sounds of summer, and more. Stuffed with tons
of bright modern photographs.
This is a fantastic book (and
series) to add to your school library. Its perfectly suited to read-a-loud to
K-2 graders with large easy to share pages. Its also a great jumping off point
for activities like how does summer look, taste, sound, and feel. There are
some activities in the last pages of the book like Popsicle and sundial making.
This series is my favorite I have read about the seasons.
