Little Mole is surprised when someone knocks on her door one morning, and she looks outside to discover a baby animal bundled up on her step. She names the creature Baby Who-zit, and sets off to find out where it really belongs.

Despite the cute premise, I have pretty lukewarm feelings about this book. The story seems to wander a bit, with random elements thrown in (a wolf, a birthday...) and there are too many plot holes. (Where did the baby come from? How did its mother know it was hers? Why did all the animal parents take their little offspring with them to scare off the wolf, since it's a pretty dangerous task?)
