Two robins build a nest and raise their chicks. The chicks learn to fly and eventually are on their own.
Nesting is a pretty standard story about birds, but the illustrations make this one special. Mostly in grey tones, the sky has a soft blue hue and the eggs themselves are a beautiful blue. I worried so much when a snake got to the nest, and was happy to see the adult birds fight it off, but didn't count 4 chicks after that. I hope it wasn't the snake.
