BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) - ESSENTIAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH
April and Mae often have sleepovers. This Friday, Mae and her cat are over at April's house and April has planned that they will sleep outside in a tent, make s'mores, sing songs and tell scary stories. Mae isn't sure she'll like that. When it's not comfy, or too cold, April does her best to help (even helping the cat and dog). Finally, April is too tired for stories or songs or s'mores. Now it's Mae's turn to help.
This series is adorable. I love that each book starts telling several ways the friends are different, but also ensures the reader that they are best friends. AJ read them independently, and noticed they were part of a series. We had to put them on hold at the library right away. You will want to get the whole 7 book series.
