Bug is a tiny, furry very hungry caterpillar. Bug needs to be careful while he is eating. He could be eaten by a frog, stepped on by a person, or eaten by a bird. After bird is done eating, he climbs up until he finds a place to make his house called a chrysalis. Bug goes through changes for many days. Something magical has happened to bug.
Bug is a great way to teach a young child about the life cycle of caterpillars. Li made her book cute, colorful, fun and interesting for small children. I also like the caterpillar hole cut in the cover of the book that shows Bug on each page until he is changing in his chrysalis.
