There's a big scary storm outside, and all the animals are safe in the barn, except the foxes who are turned away because there isn't enough room. Until one little duck reaches out and invites the family in because "love prevails."
Kelly Murphy's gorgeous illustrations are breathtaking. The simply poetry makes for a quiet read to help a child weather a storm. The farmer is going to have quite a surprise in the morning as even the forest animals came in like deer, raccoons, snakes, frogs and a number of birds. I am concerned, however, that the duckling literally let the foxes into the henhouse.
