As Mama and Papa Duck take their 10 little ducklings on a walk, one by one each gets distracted saying hello to a different animal. Suddenly Mama and Papa realize all the babies are gone! But when they call out, they get a big surprise!
Anita Lobel's illustrations are stunning, the ducklings and their friends are so cute, the scenery is idyllic. Lots to look at on every page, but not so much that the reader is distracted. A fun read aloud where the child can call out the name of the friend each duckling is meeting.
