Pandora lives alone in a world of broken things. She has managed to create a cozy home for herself, but she is lonely. One day an injured bird falls into her life and Pandora must help it to heal. As time goes by, Pandora becomes less lonely as the bird regains its strength. When the bird begins to fly again, it returns with flowers and seeds. One day the bird does not return and Pandora is heartbroken. Then the gifts of the bird begin to grow.
Gorgeous illustrations pair expertly with a narrative about comfort and friendship. The reader will be unable to help but be reminded of Wall-e, but the sweet story is original and will be enjoyed on its own merits.
