Numenia (the Latin name for a whimbrel) takes off with her sisters on a migratory flight from the Arctic to the Caribbean. Along the way she has to battle a hurricane and getting separated from her group.
The artwork is gorgeous. Told in verse, the text adds to the illustrations. My favorite part was the true story of a whimbrel named Hope that inspired this book and will inspire you too.
