The 10 baby chicks don’t want to go to bed, so twice they scurry off in various numbers to hide from their Mama. 

I love that this isn’t a simple countdown book – the chicks disappear in 2’s, in 4’s, etc. And each time chicks disappear, the first chick uses a different kind of mathematical expression to represent the math involved. Will be great for any subtraction unit.
