Readers learn
about the ocean, the animals that live in it, what is in the deep ocean, animal
migration, and more. The illustrations are mostly subdued in color, featuring
happy babies, and sea creatures with cute little eyes and smiley faces.
This book has a
lot of information for a pre-k reader. Feels more kindergarten level or higher
–if it wasn’t in board book format. My little one was not interested after just a page or two. A skilled pre-K teacher could bring this
book to life, but again, since its in board book format, it would be
challenging to share with a group. I have read another science board book series that kept the information short yet informative
so it was just right for pre-k, this series doesn’t accomplish that.
