The little boy used to have a cat, but now he only sees and feels the ghost of a cat around his house.
The illustrations in this book are just the right amount of dreamy and intrigue as the boy tries to follow the cat. However, I was not enamored with the end of this book.
SPOILER ALERT
– the boy ends up finding a kitten on his doorstep and then in the last picture it is asleep on his bed. I’d hate for a child to think that is the best way to get a pet. And I’m pretty sure a parent wouldn’t appreciate that message either.
