In this large and beautifully illustrated picture book, more than 20 animal migrations are highlighted and discussed. Each animal--from caribou to whooping cranes--is given a page with an explanation of their migration written in simple poetic prose. The final migration discussed is that of humans and the many reasons we travel.
My son is a huge nature lover and we both enjoyed reading this book together. I loved the wide variety of animals discussed--some I had never heard of!--and its fascinating to learn the great lengths many of these species travel every single year. The illustrations in this book are really great and it will be a hit with younger animal lovers. The style of the words makes it an especially fun book to read aloud.
