A little girl
adopts a baby martian and quickly discovers that he isn’t potty trained. He
likes to potty in unusual places and is just terrified of the toilet. After
trying to potty in the fish bowl the girl has had enough and teaches him the
potty song.
The
illustrations in this book are hilarious and children will howl with laughter.
A couple of things that don’t work for me are that the bathroom is referred to
as the loo (confusing for an already confused audience) and that the potty song
doesn’t have music or reference a song to try to sing the melody to. A child
who is having the same trouble as the little alien might try some new places
after reading this book –inspiring them to try to potty in even crazier places.
