Christopher’s only friends are the mechanicals that help Mr. Absalom keep the junk yard going. Then one day some government men come and take Christopher away, after revealing that Chrsitopher is also a mechanical – an ensouled mechanical made by the master himself – Cormier. Now the others, Jack, Gripper, Round Rob, with the help of the human Estelle, are headed to Cormier’s workshop to get his help to rescue their friend.
Full of adventure and friends helping each other. The title and the cover made me think Oz, but any comparisons are very subtle – not in your face at all. If robots are an active subject in your library, go for it!
