In a fun, lilting rhyme, the itsy bitsy school bus experiences his first day of school--meeting friends, doing art, and discovering that school is a pretty great place.
The text in this book is a twist on the "itsy bitsy spider" nursery rhyme and the author has done a pretty good job with making the rhymes fit. I enjoyed the colorful illustrations, and the underlying theme that going to school is fun! This would be a great book for the youngest readers who love to hear rhyme, and for the older Pre-K audience, as well, who are getting ready to go to school for the first time. Overall, a nice pick for your board book collection.
