AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

What if the night held no monsters because the Night Knights surrounded us on all sides protecting from any harm?

I much prefer books like The Darkest Dark by Chris Hadfield, where a real boy confronts his fears, rather than creating a fake construct to pretend that other pretend “beings” won’t hurt anyone. But, I am also not a fan of the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny, either. The illustrations are the best part of this book -- luminous would be an excellent descriptor.  If you want to encourage this use imagination to conquer night fears, then go right ahead. But please help your child understand it is just a way to cope.
