While the diversity of princesses in this book is appreciated and needed, the rest of it felt a little dated and materialistic focusing mainly on what the princesses’ crowns looked like. We did learn a little about each princess by finding out their favorite animal, but the pages didn’t seem to flow well. The nod to every little girl being a princess and every boy a prince at the end left me confused as to what, if any, message there was to this book. But if you need more diverse characters for your collection, this would fit the bill.
