Lucy is falling down the mountain and on her way down she passes a mountain man who throws her a rope, but forgets to hold the other end. She also passes a duck who is no help. Finally she lands in a cave with some bears who throw her out. She ends up rolling down the hill in a giant snowball only to stop right in front of a chalet. A then throw up.
I am certain that the dry humor in this book is just right for someone, but not the majority of students. It uses the word “butt,” which although not terribly offensive, I still wasn’t allowed to say as a kid and cringe reading in picture books.
