This graphic novel is a series of
short stories about the kids who live in one neighborhood and all like to play
dress up make believes games that feature all kinds of imaginary characters
like superhero’s, medieval characters, and even completely new creations. Some
of the stories feature problems related to home life, some about their
friendships with the other neighbor children, and even some about their games
themselves (like is lemonade really a potion?). Features bright appealing
artwork.
This is a long graphic novel where
very little feels like it happens. It feels more like a memoir than a story
meant to draw in readers that weren’t part of that world to start with. I was
bored within 25 pages because it was sort of childish. There were some super
adult moments as well –like with a scary dad. That made for an odd combo. The
artwork is great!
