One morning, on a beach in Brazil, children found a small penguin with black goo on its feathers. Seu João carried the penguin home and carefully cleaned its feathers with dish soap. After a couple of weeks the penguin was strong enough to go home, but each time he was taken back, Dimdim returned. But then, several months later, Dindim lost his old feathers and grew new ones, this time, when Dindim dove in the water and swam out to sea, he didn't return. Will Seu João ever see him again?

Wait - I want a penguin friend who will swim every morning with me in the ocean! Lucky Lucky Seu João. And lucky Dindim to have been discovered by someone who knew what to do. Renato Alarcão's illustrations are beautiful I love the colors of the water, and the sunset illustration is amazing. Includes information about Magellanic Penguins, conservation information and when Dindim may be now.
