Fox is wandering in the forest and he finds a bird. This bird is sick. The fox tries many things to help the bird and the bird doesn't respond. A moth observes the fox trying to help. He and the fox talk about how the bird "just isn't Here anymore". The fox is confused and the sweet moth helps him understand about death and dying in a sweet innocent and very gentle way.
I cannot get enough of the illustrations in this book. The cover is captivating with its embossed areas, gold accents and earth tones. The illustrations are very angular and geometric. It's beautiful to create a landscape in an artistic way. The tender story does a really good job talking about dying and how that person's body might still be Here but their soul isn't. I highly recommend this book. They are all animals
