Abby, Elmo, and a few of their friends are taking the subway to the library. How many books with purple covers do you see? Abby realizes she has lost her library card. At the stop for the park, she looks for it in the next subway car. This car is full of friends on their way to the park. At the next stop for downtown, Abby looks in car number three. More of Abby's friends are shopping with different shaped packages. But she still can't find her library card. Will she find her library card at the next stop for the library in the last car?
All Aboard! creates a lot of interaction with the reader. It is fun to open the book into a long train, and then lift the flap of each car to see who's in the car and what they are doing. The text provides one or two simple questions to figure out in each car. Children will especially enjoy it if they are fans of the sesame street characters.
