Another fun non-fiction title from Jane Porter, following her Utah Beehive Book Award nominated "So You Want to Be an Owl" (which my K-5 students absolutely loved!) This non-fiction book is written as a welcome to the Frog Club, making sure the reader has what it takes to be a frog! Full of bright colors, fun and fascinating facts, and even a congratulatory certificate making the reader an honorary member of the Frog Club (printed on the inside of the back cover). This will inform and entertain elementary students (and I definitely learned a thing or two as an adult). If you’re looking for fun, engaging non-fiction/informational books this is a great option. Bonus: plenty of opportunities for physical play breaks during a read-aloud (wriggling, jumping, making various frog sounds, etc).
