The Wakey Birds have a hard time going to sleep, especially the littlest. The Littlest wants to play and friends to play with, which seems like a good idea to all the wakey birds – until they wake the most feared animal of them all – the Dreaded Jungle Beast. The Dreaded Jungle Beast knows just what to do with little birds that keep him awake.

So much fun! A great one to act out for bedtime. Frost’s illustration s remind me of Matisse’s work – simple, but embellished shapes and lots of colors.
