This workbook moves through identifying anger to discussing ways to respond to anger. Some of the most interesting prompts discussed how to be assertive and bold and hold boundaries so that anger doesn’t have to take over. For example, “Does you sibling or your friend take your stuff without asking for your permission? To help prevent this in the future, make sure your friends and siblings know your rules and boundaries for sharing. Use the table on the next page to list out your rules.”
The greatest asset of this workbook is that it doesn’t label anger as bad. It simply acknowledges that anger is a universal response. Having a kid interact with this workbook could be immensely valuable given we don’t normally talk about anger outside of a situation where emotions are already intense. I labeled this as “optional” because of the single use nature of a workbook.
